That’s where Build-A-Birthday comes in, an event that focuses on the magic of creating and gifting a full birthday celebration to kids who would otherwise not have one. Bring JOY to children experiencing homelessness through the MAGIC of a birthday celebration.

Our professional facilitators will divide your group into teams and lead them through a series of themed challenge stations. Each activity will earn them points and supplies to fill their charitable party bags, the contents of which are designed to make a child’s birthday truly magical. Additionally, you and your team will get to create a custom card and record a birthday song to be shared directly with the recipients.

These donated items are all wrapped up in a custom “Best Day Ever” party bag and sent directly to our charitable partners. They then work with local shelters and social services to not only distribute each bag but to host a proper celebration for the recipient children as well – complete with decorations, favors, presents, and a cake full of candles! The end result leaves a lasting positive impact on everyone involved in the process.

Over the course of several rounds, players will work in teams to decide how much to bid for items that increase in value. Then, they must individually propose a bid for the item, without consulting with their teammates.  After all the proposals are in, players are sent to breakout rooms where they decide which bid to submit to the auction. Bids depend on what other teams are doing, and no two auction games are ever the same.

Players complete challenges to test both individual and teamwork talents. The traveler, the foodie, and the sports lover, are a few of the most common personas you’ll run into at this virtual party. Work together with your teammates to overcome a fun task that each persona will bring to you. 

Participants will have the chance to vote for the teammate who most strongly matches the character you just met at the end of each challenge. Teams can ask the Game Masters for assistance at any moment throughout the game and will be able to observe a live ranking of their rivals.

The winning team is the one who exits the room first, and everyone will take part in an Oscar-style awards presentation to finish up the event.

We based this event on the true story of the largest art heist in history – in 1990 two thieves disguised as police entered a Boston art museum in the middle of the night. They managed to escape with 13 valuable pieces, including works by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Manet. The real criminals remain at large to this day, and their $500 million haul still hasn’t been recovered.

Your team of amateur sleuths will question suspects, hunt for clues and devise theories as they work to solve the crime and claim their reward. The whole experience ends with a photo op where your group becomes living art by posing inside a giant picture frame.
